Map / Delimitation Notification

According to Notification No. LSGD/PD/24269/2024-EER1 dated 06.09.2024, published by the Director of Local Self-Government Department (Rural) in Extraordinary Gazette No. 2888 on 07.09.2024, the number of seats to be filled through direct elections in Cheriyamundam Grama Panchayat, Malappuram district, was fixed at 20.

Based on this, draft proposals for dividing the said Grama Panchayat into an equal number of constituencies and determining their boundaries were published under Notification No. SDC/808/2024/SDC4 dated 18.11.2024. Time was granted until 04.12.2024 to submit objections and suggestions regarding these proposals.

Having conducted inquiries, granted personal hearings to the complainants, and disposed of the received objections and suggestions, the Kerala Delimitation Commission issued its final order under No. SDC/808/2024/SDC4 on 15.05.2025, dividing Cheriyamundam Grama Panchayat into 20 constituencies and defining their boundaries as detailed in the accompanying schedule, pursuant to Section 10 of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994.
